Why You Need It

Food Isn’t What It Used To Be

The human body is made to create boundless energy, heal itself and pass these positive traits to its offspring for 120 years or more. So why isn’t this happening? What has gone wrong?

The answer is that we are all overfed and undernourished. Our food supply has been depleted of its vitamin and mineral content since the 1920s and 1930s. We’re now in the fourth generation of feeling the ill effects of this depletion.

“Most people… are actually starving to death among plentiful supplies of supposedly good food.” Dr. Royal Lee November 10th, 1946

Even when you try to eat real foods, the vitamin and mineral content of today’s fruits and vegetables aren’t the same as 100 years ago. Soil depletion has lead to a huge decrease in available vitamins and minerals in produce available today.

In fact, in 1992 the Earth Summit Report indicated that the U.S. topped the list in soil mineral depletion, with 85% depletion over the last one hundred years.  Imagine what that loss in soil nutrients is doing to our fruits and vegetables!

So we are getting depleted from all sides. Processed and refined foods deplete our internal reserves of vital vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and cofactors. Once your internal reserves are gone, you actually start having more symptoms of poor health.

Consequences of Our Depleted Food Source

Our ancestors ate nature’s bounty by hunting and gathering. Within hours of harvest fruits, vegetables and meat were eaten. This system worked well for thousands of years. Within the last 100 years processed and refined foods replaced the backyard garden. The drive-thru window replaced the dinner table.

“The assumption that human technology could improve on the wisdom of nature has become the primary cause of disease in the modern world.”  Patrick Quillan, Ph.D. American Journal of Natural Medicine, September 2002

In the last 20 years a branch of science called Nutrigenomics has developed. This research has proven that your genetic expression and potential can be turned on and off by the availability of specific vitamins and minerals. Vitamins and minerals are the building blocks of your body’s cells. If you have great building blocks you create great new cells. If you are not getting the whole vitamins and minerals from your food, then your body continues to degenerate.

This is why you need to have Whole Food Nutritional Supplements in your diet.
